Biosolutions in 2020: Helping the Fight Against COVID-19
We’re only three months into 2020, but already this year has proven to be one for the record books. With this in mind, we wanted to highlight a few of the most recent changes that have taken place here at Biosolutions — as well as the unique impact our disinfecting products have had in the fight against COVID-19.
A 3-in-1 Detergent Effective Against COVID-19
Biosolutions has long been producing a 3-in-1 solution for disinfecting, cleaning, and sanitizing that has been getting a lot of inquiries after being listed on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s List N recognizing disinfectants that are effective against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.
This product is our Biosolutions’ Disinfecting Detergent (EPA Reg. No.: 10324-155).
According to EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler: “Using the correct disinfectant is an important part of preventing and reducing the spread of illnesses along with other critical aspects such as hand washing.”
In early March as the threat of COVID-19 continued to intensify in the United States and around the world, the EPA released a list of disinfectants proven to be effective for use against COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2. Biosolutions’ Disinfecting Detergent (EPA Reg. No.: 10324-155) is included on this list, which is known as “List N.”
Helping Our Community in the Fight Against COVID-19
Our Disinfecting Detergent (EPA Reg. No.: 10324-155) is simple to use and is effective at disinfecting, cleaning, and sanitizing in a range of applications including quart spray bottles, mop buckets, immersion applications, auto-scrubbers, mechanical sprayers, coarse sprayers, and by hand pump.
When organizations require a detergent that can destroy and neutralize the novel coronavirus, as well as other viruses, bacteria, fungus, and mold, our detergent works. In addition, it is safe to use and non-corrosive for both employees and equipment.
Most importantly at this time, Biosolutions Disinfecting Detergent (EPA Reg. No.: 10324-155) can be used effectively in hospitals and other medical settings, on a variety of surfaces and for a wide range of soils. Because of this, we wanted to do our part to support the heroic medical professionals and healthcare workers who are working tirelessly to fight against this terrible disease. We chose to donate 200 gallons of our Disinfecting Detergent (EPA Reg. No.: 10324-155) to each of the following area hospitals:
- Holland Hospital
- North Ottawa Community Hospital
- Mercy Health Partners
- Spectrum Health
In addition to being safe and effective for hospital disinfecting, cleaning, and sanitizing, Biosolutions’ Disinfecting Detergent (EPA Reg. No.: 10324-155) can also be used in:
- Manufacturing and Industrial Facilities
- Residential Care Facilities
- Restaurants
- Schools
- Hotels
- And many other settings
The detergent is concentrated to reduce shipping and inventory costs, and it comes in a variety of convenient packaging sizes for reduced waste and more efficient use.
Big Changes for Biosolutions: New COOs and an Increase in Manufacturing
As we continue to innovate and manufacture effective and environmentally-safer cleaning products, Biosolutions is also proud to highlight several important changes within the infrastructure of our company.
It’s been just over half a year since Mark Kemple and Jim White joined our team as co-COOs. This joint appointment occurred in July of 2019, and since, they’ve been doing a phenomenal job as chief operating officers of Biosolutions, overseeing our operational and administrative functions on a daily basis.
Furthermore, we are proud to announce that we have significantly increased our overall manufacturing capabilities. We have not only added a number of new employees to our payroll, but we’ve also added a second shift to increase production and distribution.
